Wolfgang work flow and change questions

I'm looking into ceramic coating but I'm also looking to streamline my sealant process if I don't go the ceramic route.

I have used Wolfgang products for years. I wash weekly and then use the Wolfgang spray sealant to detail after drying.

My typical routine with a new truck or a deep cleaning 2x year.

    1. nano mitt to get any surface junk off.
    2. wolfgang swirl remover if needed.
    3. wolfgang polish
    4. wolfgang 3.0 sealant
    5. Wolfgang fusion wax. 2 layers

I'm reading the wolfgang finishing glaze should be used before the sealant but from reading it sounds like only if the paint is dulled? Is it even necessary if I stay onto of my trucks? IS the glaze the same as the polish if applying by hand?

I'm seeing the new SiO2 sealant. It says to use the finish paint prep spray before the SiO2 but isn't that the same as using the polish? it removes all the old wax and sealant? I'm confused on the role of the prep spray.

How does that all look? changes suggestions?

I do want to try the SiO2 sealant but want to make sure I use the proper pre cleaning setup.

    Thanks again for the help,
    jim

The prep spray removes any oils left over from polishing, it’s recommended to get the paint as oil free as possible before coating application. The WG Finish Glaze is a light polish

Re: Wolfgang work flow and change questions

Ok so pre sealant would my work flow best be served with the polish still and swirl remover if needed or using the glaze. I assume what I was doing from your response? and then I would still need to use the prep spray as you mention.

Is there anything in my work flow I'm missing or should switch up?

    thanks so much!

All 3 that you mention are polishes, the Finishing Glaze is a finer polish so use whatever one that gets you your results you want. When I use a sealant I choose to use the prep spray before applying the sealant, many here do not. The prep spray is designed to remove fresh oils/ residue from the polishing step, this gives a cleaner surface for the sealant to adhere.

Wolfgang really mislabeled the Glaze since it’s actually a polish
