Coating experts: I need your opinions here

I’m in Los Angeles. I believe he’s near Chicago... So if you wanna pitch in for my plane ticket and hotel room I’m willing to do it. Coating experts: I need your opinions hereLol.

But yes, I was advising him to re wash the car with a different soap. I don’t know yet if he chose to do so.

Perhaps Rinseless washing would be a good choice for him.

Update: Yes he does have some Griots Brilliant Shine Car Wash Soap which he’s going to use next time he washes the car.

He’s going to wait till Friday when his new microfiber towels arrive. Until then the car will be sitting in the garage.

The good news is that he was able to wipe away the haze with a clean dry microfiber towel.

He only wiped a small test area clean and he’s not touching the rest until his towels arrive for his next wash. I’m still advising him to call Megs as they might be able to help in some way.

Ya it's Ceramic Pro. Not exactly the most stellar on the market.

Basically, for the rest of his car, I'd suggest having some kind of a good detailing spray that he can use. Something along the lines of this.

    IGL Ecoshine Enhancer

Just suggesting that because it's cheap and easy to use on coated.

I’m just glad it’s not somekind of semi permanent etching that had happened. Man what a relief... He said the towels he used to dry were brand new straight out of the bag.

I recently washed a car coated in Ceramic Pro and it didn't feel like it had a coating at all. CarPro coatings you can tell there's a coating on there, it's so easy to clean and very smooth, but not with the Ceramic Pro. IMO it's an inferior product and just marketing gimmicks.

I will stick with AG ceramic products (most tested by MP before hitting the market). Thanks for the follow up

Issue with Ceramic Pro is that they recommend multiple layers for most effective use. Issue with that is, that means with that many layers required, each individual application doesn't have a high concentration of actual solids so a single layer of Ceramic Pro is not actually that meaningful. It's super easy to use and apply but.. ya.

Probably recommend he wash new MFs before first use. Whether it contributed to the issue or not.
