Re: Getting swirls out of black Toyota Tundra

I think the only exception might be Toyota white. Lexus paint surprises me at times, I would rate it a bit harder than Toyota. Same mess of swirls and same polish (hyper polish) and the toyota was done while the lexus needed an orange pad and something with a bit more cut.

for the pads i agree. for me, most of the time now, i use rupes yellow pads. so i have 8 of them. i hit every panel with one pad. most of my work and one step process is done with these. then for correction i use the rupes green ones. my point is , the pad you use most, its better to have it on hand and dont have to wait to clean it and dry it. it will save time and money in the long run, cause you dont force the same pad each time harder and harder. IMHO

After further examining my polish inventory, it appears the Meg's ult polish I was going to use is about empty. Should I use the HD adapt that I have on hand ? Would a swirl remover be better to buy instead? I'm going to place an order for some white LC thin profile pads today.

I also just read Mike's article about Blackfire one step. Seems like it would work as well for what I need.

I use griots orange pad with sonax perfect and a 15mm throw. It finished down fine for my eyes on a blue 2016 camry. I plan to step down next year though, it was the cars first correction.
