Thanks Eldorado, and Mike for your help, and everyone else appreciate it, I’m also here because I have a 2018 Durango GT, and by not washing it properly (my fault) I swirled it’s. But I’m learn little at a time, I know you I will succeed.

    And Mike Phillips isn't?
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Re: New, frustrated and determined (lots of questions)?

I hope I don’t say this the wrong way or offend anyone but I’m tired of YouTube detailers.

My intentions are to be here and learn from the best, which is all you. Bro I’m start watching Mike, too many YouTube detailers have steered me wrong. Wrong methods for washing causing swirls, using bad products etc. That is why I’m here, I wasted too much time and money listening to them.

No disrespect to any of them, but for the most part they are trying to push products.

That is why I’m here to listen to actual detailers, not trying to start nothing.

Apex is ok, but since I’m a member here I’ll check Mike and spend more time here. I’m trying to better myself and learn from the best.

    Cheers

Like many things in life, learning to detail properly (and more importantly, efficiently) comes with time. Trial and error, research and just detailing car after car. There's not a real quick way to fast track it.

    TrustJesus

Welcome the the AG Forum. Sorry to hear you are a bit confused after trying to watch so many different opinions and methods from the YouTubers.

AG website has this link that is very important to you

Auto Detailing Facts, auto detailing Tips, How to detailing Guides, how to polish, how to wax, DIY detailing, do it yourself guides

Use it as a starting point and follow along with the basics. I understand where you are in the start of all this confusion. Started this a few years ago seriously and had solid advice from some YouTubers. But you have to get a grip on the fundamentals and do NOT go out and buy each product they test. I too followed Scott at Dallas Paint Correction, I still have gallons of his recommendation and he keeps changing over time. His methods are solid but mix that with the others you mentioned and the confusion reigns king.
