Griot’s BOSS Microfiber Pads
They ones with the thin red foam backing. Man, they are awesome! Very smooth polishing feel, contour well, and most importantly(to me), the fibers do not matte down after polishing a section!! I’ve tried a lot of other MF pads, and these are the only ones that don’t get saturated and caked with product and residue so easily. Not sure how Griots does it....

Re: Griot’s BOSS Microfiber Pads
I 100% agree Mark. I could never really get on the band wagon of using MF because I hated how they hopped around the machine or matted so bad after every pass. The BOSS pads are truly the only MF pad I enjoy using.

One thing about Griot's, they do their research and testing before launching products.
They also have a great team of very experienced guys with real-world detailing experience, not just desk-jockeys.

I do agree that them not matting down is nice. But one complaint I do have and I don't know if this was addressed by Griot's with this version was the lack of durability of the red foam interface. For that reason I gave them all away on Autopia.

I’ll have use MF pads from time to time but now pretty much phased them out of my process.
What type of machines are you guys using these on?

It was definitely addressed a while ago.

Hey Jim, I ONLY use them on random orbitals. I will never phase them out.

Re: Griot’s BOSS Microfiber Pads
I don't have much usage for MF since I keep my car in good enough shape that foam provides enough cut but the times I used the BOSS MF pad it worked pretty well. But so did the Meguiar's MF cutting disc. I like the way the BOSS pad is softer and can contour better the body panels though.
