    Question regarding Ridgid Claw Attachment

Hey guys, I’m wondering if anyone has experience with both the old and new versions of the Ridgid claw vacuum attachment. If so could you let me know which 1 you think works better? Is the new version an upgrade or is the old version better? I’ve been thinking of buying the new version but I’m not really sure if it’s any good..

I've used the top one. It works ok. If you have a lot of loose debris it is my current go to.

I'm not totally blown away with it or anything else I've recently used.

I'm looking for something else that might work better.

Drill a couple of holes on each side about an inch from the opening. You’ll see much improvement.

On the actual sides or top of the tool near the sides?

On the actual sides. Close to the end where the attachment touches the carpet.

Re: Question regarding Ridgid Claw Attachment

I actually no longer have the claw attachment that I used to use because I somehow lost it... I only have a 2nd claw attachment that I bought a while back however it’s useless because it measures slightly over 1.25 and therefore fits loose onto my vacuum. It’s useless. But I maked where I drill the holes with tape.

I’ve drilled holes in all my attachments.

Thanks. I have only used the old claw, however the new one came with my new vac. I will use both for comparison sake and report back.

Thank you. Let me know if new claw fits directly on a 2.5” hose. They make it sound like it attaches directly to both a 1.25” and 2.5” hose? I can’t seem to get a clear description on the thing and nobody’s explained it that’s why I decided to make this thread.

Yes, the new version fits both the 1.25 & 2.5 hoses. It came with the vac I purchased. I really didn't like it that much because it wasn't smooth gliding. Maybe to much suction. I will have to try your suggestion and drill the whole in the sides. Thanks Rob
