Re: Opinions welcome on purchasing new detailing kit..
Should have gotten a Griot’s PFM instead of the Cobra Guzzler. So. Much. Better.
I have 3 of those cobra towels that sit in a bin since the day I tried a PFM drying towel.

No worries! I'll order one of those next time.
Everything has arrived (almost). I ordered a 128oz. jug of Wolfgang Microfiber Cleaner and Rejuvenator, and the Speed Master Detailer's Creeper.
I hope to begin work on the Frontier this weekend or next..

Re: Opinions welcome on purchasing new detailing kit..
After about 11 months, I finally detailed my Focus ST yesterday.
Indeed. Last June & July, I set about ordering all the detailing gear from Autogeek. Griot's G9, G6, 25ft. Extension Cord, pads, microfiber cloths, Griot's PolyWax, BOSS Correction Cream, Polish, Complete Compound, etc,,, etc,,,.
Funny how life can get in the way sometimes!
On Monday the 26th, I washed it (twice) with McKee's #37 and soap gun, dried it with a Cobra Guzzler, and put it back in the garage.
Yesterday morning, (about 6:30am) using quick detailer, I went over it with my new Clay Towel, dried it with a MF towel, & taped off the black plastic sections with blue 3M painter's tape.
Using both the G9 & G6 (w/ orange pads), I applied the Correction Cream in approximately 18" sections where applicable buffing it off with MF Towels between sections. By the way, before yesterday I had never used any kind of Orbital polisher, or any machine for that matter on any of my vehicles.
Around 2:30, after a lunch break, I was ready for the next step. I decided to skip the polish, and go ahead & apply the Griot's Polywax to save tme
Using a Red pad, I began. Very smooth! Using the 5" pad, I was able to complete the application with just the G9.
After waiting a little over an hour, I finished up buffing off the wax with MF towels.
Very happy with the results, and the Griot's G9 & G6 were fantastic to work with!

Nice job! Love the Griots stuff. By the way I think you have a g8 not a g6. Just in case you give someone a recommendation.
The g6 is their old 8mm DA with a 6” backig pad.

Looks fantastic! You’ll have to let us know how you like the Poly Gloss. I’ve got it on my shelf, but I’ll be danged if it hasn’t been joined by a bunch of other LSP options thanks to this place.
I do remember application being an absolute breeze. Gonna have to dig out that bottle again…
