2 Year Ceramic Coating Durability Test! Optimum Gloss Coat
Hey everyone,
I know spring is finally here and many of you are probably taking your babies out of storage and looking for some protection. I wanted to share the results from my ceramic coating application on the R8 two years ago, and happy to share the results. I am kind of surprised? Still showing very strong beading and sheeting and could probably go for another season, as it is rated for 2 years of protection we will see how long it goes! Just to be clear, I have driven roughly 10,000KM since application and wash the car once every 2 or 3 weeks. I do not winter drive the car and I keep it stored in a garage.

With the low distance driven, not using in winter, probably not used in rain, that coating will last much more than 3 years.
My brother has the original CQuartz UK on his Porsche (which doesn't get driven in bad weather, probably 5K miles or less per year, always in the garage) and his coating is still going strong. I think it's been on the car for something between 3 and 4 years.
