Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax has a clay lube?

I have lots of products that i don't use - i'm moving onto ceramics. This is one. Can it be used straight or diluted has a clay lube?

    Thanks!

UQW is a pure wax (i.e. not designed to have any lubricative properties, like a detail spray would for instance) so I wouldn't recommend it.

    IMO:
Almost any (detailing) liquid, including plain
ol’ water, is way better than “dry-claying”.

I’ll suggest to try it out on a horizontal
surface/panel. That way you’ll have first-
hand results as your primary decision maker.

Meguiar's stated that their quick detailer was too slick to be used as a clay lube as the polymers would not let the clay do its job. I wonder if they state this with ultimate quick wax. One could almost argue that Optimum states their spray wax can be used with clay to minimize marring. Also that the new Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Detailer contains SiO2 yet can be used as a clay lube while also leaving protection behind. I would think you would be ok to try it.
