Yes, I agree for a hybrid wax or a SiO2 Spray Sealant which are essentially coating toppers by nature (which can be used as standalone but may actually perform better on top of other ceramics). I view this thread as talking about traditional carnauba waxes and polymer sealants. Those which heavily impact the performance compared to the coating. But that is just my assumption from the OP.
