How to keep robins away from car
I’ve lived in my house going on 3 years. This is the only time this has ever happened. They land on the mirrors and peck away at the mirror and windows. So I folded the mirror in and then they land on the window trim weather stripping and poop down the door. Every single day for the last two weeks. Any serious ideas? And no I’m not parked near any trees. I’m usually parked next to the Subaru. Or where I am but further up

That sucks. I have seen cars in my area with their mirrors covered in a plastic bag and you've done that and it works but I'm not sure about the other issue. The worst part is they're not happy just sitting there, they have to take a dump on your doors. So annoying.

Robins are ground feeders, when they perch on your suv they are cleaning their beaks and resting. I think it may be that your vehicle is the highest point near your grass and convenient for them. They also will perch there to not be so obvious to birds such as Cooper’s hawks, these have been in full force near me. Just a shot in the dark here but should get better when they go to nest

Re: How to keep robins away from car
I had this same exact problem last week or so. I have parked my truck in the same exact spot for 15 years since we bought our house, and never one problem until now.
Female robin going APE SH!T on my mirrors and rear glass. They think the reflections are rival birds, and peck and POOP like crazy. 99% of them will realize it is not a real bird and give up. Not this one, though.
It even started in on the back glass of my wife's Jeep.
I put bags on the mirrors, folded them in, you name it. I tried it all.
I'm an animal lover, but I don't need to have my vehicles damaged either. Sadly, this particular bird had to be taken out by me.
If I am violating Federal Law, I'll make it up to them in 2022 when I get my stimulus check.

I mistakenly liked "against federal law". I, and my wife really like this one - shooting just to chase away, not maim or kill. The robins in our neck of the woods are equally obnoxious.

When birds went buts on my car windows I taped two glue traps on my mirrors. Caught both. End of issue. Wont say here what birds did this as I know we have some sensitive folks. Happened years ago.

Our Government probably has an actual AAAF (Anti-Aviary Abuse Force), but can't seem to be able to send a piece of paper in the mail. (Oh, wait..... I'm not talking about the one stating that you OWE money. It seems that those flow out in the millions flawlessly.....)
