    OTC Product like Ironx?

Hey All...it's actually a nice day in Chicago and I think it'm going to use it to work on my wife's car. The only product I"m low on in Ironx. Does anyone know if there are any OTC products that are similar that I can use on paint? Thanks!

Hey Merlin, if you don’t mind saying, where are you located? I live in The Glen Ellyn area. The 3 previous products are all great OTC options. The Megs Ultimate Cleaner will be the easiest to find, I’ve seen the Eagle One product at Walmart for around $5 and have yet to see the new Spray Clay but seems to be effective in reviews I’ve read/seen.

Bob where have you seen that!? I don’t often buy my products locally since I get them from AG, but it’s always nice to know what’s in the area in a pinch.

Pep Boys, at least in So Cal carries the Surf City iron remover. I can't comment on how well it works. But when I saw it I opened the bottle to give it the smell test, it was definitely as bad as the Sonax Fallout I had, which is as terrible as most. I have no evidence of smell = effectiveness, but that's what my brain tells me any ways. Errr, I believe it was Surf City, I know I'd always see it there for like a year before I decided to take a whiff.

•At my local O’Reilly Auto Parts.
•There are also several PBE stores
    close to me.

I have used the eagle one black on a 2014 white pearl Forester paint and it worked fairly decent.

Just buy 2 bottles to make sure you can coat it really well.

I just used the remainder of it last week on a set of winter wheels . It did a remarkable job. Turned red and stunk like sulfur as is the norm with iron removers.

Hey man...I live right in Elmhurst. We're neighbors. Haven't been here too long. I sent you a PM.

Thanks for the advice everyone. I picked up some of the Meguiar's wheel cleaner and I was actually impressed with it. I feel that it helped loosen up more contaminants than the IronX. I'm sure it's not a good for the paint, but my clay bar sure was clean when I gave it rub.
