How Do I Clean My AutoGeek Foam Gun?

Hello everyone. I went out today to wash the mud off of our farm truck. I have the AutoGeek soap foam sprayer thingy that connects to a water hose. The unit works but the slide adjuster forbthe soap will not move. It is stuck in hole three and is discolored....not shiny grass. How do I fix this?

I'm sure you have done this already. Try turning the brass thing with the holes in it with the little pin to 3 or 9 oclock. it should move if don't try wd40 and tap lightly with hammer. lightly!

If worse comes to worse you might have to contact Gilmour. They replaced mine after it wouldn’t dispense the soap any more

push the pin (stubby lever to the left that sticks straight up) forward and then slide it (left or right) to the desired ratio/hole then pull back the pin into the hole selected. also, when the brass sliding bar is pushed forward it will only spray water...

make sure the little screws on the top of the foam gun and end of the brass bar are tightened. you do not want to lose those. while not necessary, I clear out the foam gun after each use with plain water..

p.s. unscrew and take off the screw on the end of the brass sliding bar, push forward and slide it out. while I haven't done it before (or needed to) you can try soaking it in some CLR and then rinse, dry, and lightly grease the bar and put it back in (make sure to put the screw back on). it may help keep it from sticking in the future...

Hmm. If the slider isn't moving, the brass might be seized. Happened to me. You might need to spray it with something like WD 40 and let it sit overnight then attempt to move it using pliers. This is what I did and it worked. Frustrating as hell though

Once you do get it to slide, move it around often in effort to prevent it from seizing again. That's the downside of brass construction.
