thanks chaps, it really only occurred to me then, on the fly, explaining it to the customer. It's something I'll remember for the future as a useful tool.
Thanks BillE. Yes, it couldn't gone south pretty quickly as something crude....but it wasn't the first thing I tried just because she was female. She was a good humomoured bubbly person to begin with so I thought a candid approach would be ok.
