Mag wheels
So I recently acquired a 89 Ford Bronco. I’ve wanted a bronco since i was about 14 and never seemed to find one that i really liked until now. The paint is really nice, original interior is nice but overall it still needs some tlc. I’m doing one thing at a time but the first thing I’m doing is fixing a couple of small mechanical issues (rear main seal, rear pinion seal, power steering line, etc.). Today I decided to tackle trying to polish the wheels. They are heavily corroded and are uncoated aluminum wheels. So first attempt I did was a meguiars aluminum wheel cleaner and then a LOT of elbow grease and mothers mag polish. They are definitely way nicer but still have a long way to go. Looking for any tips at all on this? I just got done nano skin to the whole truck and I’m BEAT!! Here are a couple of pictures. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: appears that I can’t post pictures now without “upgrading Tapatalk” so no pics for now. I’ll try something else tomorrow!

Pretty truck. I hate those parking lights tho!!! The 79ish through 86 and the 92+ are better looking. Those 87-91s are just yeesh for me.

Re: Mag wheels
Thanks guys! I am super excited about this vehicle. I have owned a couple of hobby vehicles but this one I’ll plan on keeping for ever and handing down to my kids. I will start a separate thread on the progress of this truck and what all I do to it. I also own a Land Rover LR3 that is going to be my off road vehicle only. I may start a build/detail thread on it also. Now I need to build a shop to keep my toys in and wrench/detail them.

Re: Mag wheels
Here is a very small sample of only mothers mag polish. They have potential! I need the solution!

Re: Mag wheels
Mothers cone and a drill. Some #0000 steel wool will help with the stubborn areas.

You could try some Wenol with a paper towel keep rubbing it in until the paper towel turns black.

Re: Mag wheels
So I know it’s been a while but I found something that worked incredible. I tried a lot of polish and nothing worked nearly as well as this. Bought it at a chrome shop for big trucks.
