Use old business name or start new one?

Hi I am looking for advice, i started detailing in 2010ish and registered my own company in 2011, i ran it until about 2014 doing mostly mobile detailing i have always detailed friends and family but i stopped using it as a full on business since that time. Now I want to get back to it with more customers, I don’t depend on it as my Only source of income which was the problem before. If i re-instate my business with the same Name it’s $1,315 with the state (i have to pay for the years I didn’t file anything. Or I can pay $150 and start a new business with a different name. Of course it’s gonna be est:2011 vs est:2020. What would you do?

Easy start fresh. It's a new year so new business leave the past in the past. AKA ain't no way paying $1300 lol. Invest that money into the new business not the old one

New name won’t hurt and 1300 is a huge waste. Start fresh and put that money in equipment or something that will actually prove your business

This is an easy one for me as I would go with a new name personally. Having the opportunity for a fresh start is nice when you know you can.

    •IMO:
-Pay the $150 for the formation
    of a new business/name.

And being that you’ve been in business
for what, nine years now...I’m thinking
that the “new” Business name could be:

    ’Detailhen’ (est. 2011)

Yeah you said you only did friends and family and you didnt do enough business to make it full time.

In that case not enough invested in the name to pay $1300 to save it unless theirs some apecial attachment that is alone worth the investment.

Id say spended on more and or bettwr supplies
