Your post implies to wash before the coating has even cured. At least that is how I read it.

You're thinking go ahead with Gliss even with the fibers there? Either the application of Gliss and removal with new MFs will remove them or they won't cure onto the finish either way?

I still say wash it with Reset..get rid of the lint and dust before applying Gliss.

Re: New M340i - Help me decide what to use!
So I went with The Guz' response and applied Gliss. Relief. Before I applied I used one of the new MFs to wipe off some dust that landed overnight and it took some of the fibers with it. As I applied Gliss what I hoped would happen, did. At the end of each stroke fibers that accumulated along the way were deposited. When I buffed it almost all fibers were lifted from each panel. I've got some pics which I will get around to posting one of these days.
There were 4 spots on the car that I had to go back and touch up: polish with Essence, IPA wipe, re-coat with CQUK. The stuff is no joke, it really does get hard and bond to the finish; something I've seen described in multiple videos but needed to be experience.

Glad that it worked out for you, but I would have never applied a top coat over dust and lint.

Re: New M340i - Help me decide what to use!
I was concerned but the reasons I did it are 1. The fibers were still mobile despite being introduced with the CQ. 2. The usage instructions really discourage getting the car wet during the process.

Per the directions. The op would have to have waited a week. I’m sure he wanted to get it done in one.

Glad to hear it worked out. A high spot here and there is not the end of the world. Seems like you figured out how to handle it.
Enjoy the combination.
