    Sticker glue help

    Hi,

I hope it is OK to post this, I have had some bodywork problems and a friend suggested posting on here.

On my Insignia I have took off the SRI badges located underneath each indicator on the front wings. Unfortunately once I took them off, on one side it looked like the badge had been stuck back using super glue or something of the kind.

I've tried glue be gone, WD40, white vinegar, an all purpose cleaner, hair drier, zippo lighter fuel all with no joy.

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how i can get it budge, because as it stands my two options are either to sand it down and get it resprayed or to put the stickers back on. Just thought I'd ask the experts before going any further.

    Thanks,

    Aaron.

Get some stuff called Rapid Remover. Trust me, it’s the best adhesive remover out there. I’ve used it many times and it’s never let me down.

Just used it a couple of days ago to remove these emblems off my car.

Heat gun or hair dryer, plastic razor blade and alcohol. Patience is the key to removing the adhesive.

It won't take much to burn through the clear so take your time. Heat, scrape, wipe with alcohol and check your progress often.

3M adhesive remover may help in softening the glob.

Since it’s just for personal use, buy the smallest quantity you can find. I’ve had a 4oz. bottle last me nearly 2yrs. It’s like liquid gold during those times when you actually need it.

Just spray on, let dwell for 2 min. or longer, and begin wiping off with a microfiber towel. The hardest part is having the patience to wait 2min. but that’s the key.
Keep it soaked and it’ll come off like butter.

    Re: Sticker glue help

Is it a similar product to Goo Gone? As I have tried that.

I've have had a google of that rapid remover that you've suggested but it doesn't look like it's available in the UK. It's showing the small bottle at £20 and an additional £20 postage.

If it is similar to the goo gone I'll give that another go but with a bit more patience than last time haha.

Try the Goo Gone again.. Next best thing would be 3M Adhesive Remover if you can get that.
