    Ceramic (type) quick spray?

I asked in a previous thread about something to top meg hybrid ceramic wax after washing or in between washing to give a slick feel a while back. At the time it seemed like there wasn't much on the market that would compliment. Now I looked the other day and there seems to be some choices out there whether it be a sio2 spray sealant or a sio2 detailer spray (if I was reading things correctly).

Anyone care to share what they like, if they have tried a couple?

Has anyone tried a product called "the last coat"? If so, thoughts on it?

I like the meg hybrid ceramic for ease of use when washing but sometimes (winter mostly) I'm forced to use a car wash...I'm looking for something that can be used on a dry vehicle.

    Thanks

    Re: Ceramic (type) quick spray?

I know a guy who's used "The Last Coat" and seems pretty happy with it and I believe they have a 2.0 version out now. Myself, I'd go with the new Turtle Wax Ceramic Spray Wax they recently released since it appears to be the same thing, but cheaper.

If you're simply wanting to top HCW with something that would provide a slick finish, I think Beadmaker would be a solid choice since it's fairly cheap and gets rave reviews.

Meguiar’s has their new hybrid ceramic detailer designed for this purpose.

The SiO2 products would be perfect. As The GUZ mentioned Meguiar's has their own Hybrid Ceramic Detailer, but we don't have it in stock yet. It's currently on order.

    Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Coating Wash
    Wolfgang SiO2 Waterless Wash
Pinnacle Black Label SiO2 Detail Spray
    Blackfire SiO2 Spray Sealant

    Wolfgang ber SiO2 Coating Wash
Wolfgang SiO2 Waterless Wash 16 oz.
Pinnacle Black Label SiO2 Detail Spray
    BLACKFIRE SiO2 Spray Sealant

Add CarPro Elixir, which I haven’t used but should meet your needs. I like the PBL SiO2 Detailer.

Elixir is great. That is another good one that I would recommend. Works with any coating. It will leave protection behind.

If you want little to no protection then CarPro Ech20 at 1:20 would be a good option.

    Under $30:

I really like Shine Supply Clutch. Great pop and good hydrophobics.

I think Griots 3-1 will be my new fave if it last 3 months. Easiest to apply, Better visuals ( really pops on black) and i think the hydrophobics might be better. Id put it up against any under $30 sio2 product.

    Luxury toppers:

Only tried two and no need to move on.

    PA Cosmic spritz
    Kami Overcoat v1

Only have Overcoat v1 (thanks BP1) to compare to Cosmic. Both almost coating like hydrophobics. Both look great. Cosmic easier to apply than OC v1 so it takes 1st place.

    Re: Ceramic (type) quick spray?

Are you in need of to have a cleaning ability from it like a QD or Waterless Wash!

If not if just on dry paint. I have heard those that dilute Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax to 1:5-1:7. And apply it like you would do with a QD for glossenhancing and that newly waxed feel. Don't use to much of the product and wipe it in and wipe it off with a second mf towel. Some even use HCW on dry paint or when sprayed 1-2 times on the dry paint use a saturated with water mf towel to spread it out and then drying it. Also you can just spraying on some water on the paint with a spray bottle or pump pressure spray bottle and apply HCW and dry it as you do on the first use on bare paint.

Carpro Elixir seems to be a great option to go with for a more QD like product. PA High Gloss as a topper looks awesome on the metallic paints. You use very little of product and is very user friendly but it's a high price on it. I like it a lot on my silver metallic paint. Carpro EcH2O at 1:20 as Guz mentioned is great to get that little extra pop and slick feeling from after a wash.

    Re: Ceramic (type) quick spray?

First initial impressions of Meguiar’s new Hybrid Ceramic Detailer is it’s a gem. Crazy initial hydrophobics, good gloss and slickness, smells different but just as delicious as HCW. Currently trying it out on top of my coatings that I’m working with, should have results to report back on soon for how it’s doing. Few of my local parts stores had it on the shelf already.
