On the windshield! It looked just like the glass coating while going on and seems to be doing good.
Wonder if there is much difference between glass coating and wheel coating?

You are absolutely correct about it being a lottery. Used Dlux on several B pillars with excellent results. Tried it on a Infiniti and it streaked like crazy. Had to polish it off and applied CQuartz with no problems.

Your guess is as good as mine, but I'm glad it worked out for you.

What about first time users cause them to use more coating? Just curious so I can correct myself next time.

Can you elaborate on that? Putting too much coating on the pad each time?

Exactly. My advice is to keep practicing with a coating. You will get to a point of how much to use and work with. It’s really not that hard to use one. The individual focuses too much on what can go wrong and that throws everyone off.
A high spot is not the end of the world. It is called a lessons learned.

Exactly, Mike.
Just like anything you do, practice it.
The Gloss Coat "someone" sent me was a breeze to use. I went into it thinking a bit too much, and then 2 minutes into it (much like using a polisher the first time), you are like "WTH was I worried about???"
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

It was the same for a polisher for me. I decided on a boss 15 over the gg6 but was scared poopless. After the first two panels getting used to it it was like what was a scared of? And since then using a gg6.... although a great tool.... the gg15 was not much harder to use but definitely faster, smoother and just nicer in every way.... glad I did. No need to upgrade later.... the gg9 looks like a closer step to the boss’s tho.
