the b pillars are also the piano black finish. I’m assuming they’re plastic and the type that will scratch super easy.

Then your good with CQUK topped with Gliss. You are right they tend to scratch easily.

Some have had paint protection film applied to them for that very reason.

Those things scratch if you even look at them funny. I can't believe auto makers haven't realized this by now.......
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

I hated having painted ones on my cars, but luckily some automakers are moving towards matte black or unpainted plastic. Woohoo.

I put solution finish on the black around the sideview mirrors. Can I put a coating on them after they have dried? I have DLUX and McKee's wheel coating. I actually used the wheel coating on my windshield and it seems to be working fine.

DLux over SF works fine for me.

You put a wheel coating on your windshield? Or did you mean your wiper cowl?

exactly. Brand new on the lot, and the only swirl or light marks I could find were the B biller black plastic. I’m sure it was from washing in the dealer bays with dirty towels. I was shocked how much purple appeared on a brand new car when I hit it with IronX. The hood and roof just exploded in purple spots.

While I hate having to keep those plastic bits from getting scratched up, I actually like them better than the unpainted plastic or matte black paint. From my experience the paint is always really thin and single stage which fades and oxidizes quickly. The plastic doesn't age as well either and since every OEM uses a slightly different type of plastic, finding a trim protectant which will work on that particular car is a lottery.
