    Re: Best $10 Tire Dressing

I used Perl for years. Looks good but doesn’t last in SoFlo. I put one coat of tuff shine tire coating on over 2 weeks ago. Rain almost every day and 2 washes and still looks like I just did it. Liking it so far but it’s more that $10. Worth it to me if I don’t have to do it as often

I tried Perl undiluted and 1:1. I use straight from the bottle. When you dilute it 1:1 it gets too runny and hard to apply without making a mess. Straight up is a little too shiny for me but I apply and a few minutes later just do a light wipe with a towel that will be discarded to make sure coverage is uniform and some of that high gloss is removed. Looks perfect after that IMO. But if durability is your goal, it may not be the best product. The tires don't look bad for weeks but that fresh look only lasts about 1 week or a couple of rain drives. Since I wash weekly and apply weekly, it works well for me.

Duragloss #253. Applied with a flagged tipped brush for aggressive truck tires. I just about tried all of them, and nothing compares to this product. Great look and most important to me is NO SLING OFF on the paint.

DURAGLOSS...Do not change or stop making this product!

+1 Duragloss. Tried many of them, this is pretty much the best.

Another vote for Duragloss. I want to thank my friend Paulie for turning me on to it.

I like the idea of the Duragloss just because it’s mixed and cheap. Any other options like this. Or would this be a top choice based on what I’ve said?
Any thoughts on Optimums tire products? I like their other products.
I bought optimum opti bond tire gel 1 gallon for 28$ on sale about 2 years ago at autogeek

Agreed about durability and even undiluted it's not as good as carpro Perl. The only thing it's cheap. I have a gallon of it I should start using it on everything or I'll never use it up.

Griots Black Satin...9.99 for an aerosol can, and its available locally. Easy application, especially if your truck has big tires

I would have to agree with this for big, gnarly sidewalls.

I use this on my wife's tires on her Wrangler. Easy to coat all of that "gnarlienes" Lol

That said, the DG 253 is still much better. JMO.
