AG microfiber for spray wax decision
New guy here, not a pro detailer, just learning about products and techniques to keep my vehicles looking good for years to come. I'm shopping the AG store for microfiber rags to use for spray wax spreading and removal after my wash. I'm looking at the "Chinchilla", "Supreme 530" and "Super Plush" rags. I'm hoping for some feedback from those who have used any or all of these, pros and cons when comparing them, what makes one better than another.
Thanks in advance.

Re: AG microfiber for spray wax decision
I love the Chinchilla's for spray wax removal. They are SUPER plush and soft. Great price too.
The Super Plush's are also great, and a bit more "stout" if that makes any sense. I have used these to remove waxes, and thought they worked just fine.
Oh, and welcome to AGO!

Re: AG microfiber for spray wax decision
It sounds like both options are good. All 3 are priced the same for the quantity and size I'm interested in, pretty close in GSM and same 75/25 ratio. The Chinchilla looks to have a different weave(?), maybe split, the other 2 look to be looped. The other 2 also use Korean fibers. I'm not sure if any of those things would be noticable to me in use or make one safer on paint than another.

You really can't go wrong with anything found in the AG store.

Re: AG microfiber for spray wax decision
All 3 towels are great choices. The Supreme 530 and the Super Plush are basically the same towel just different colors. The Chinchilla is super soft and very plush. You really can't go wrong with either of these towels.
Chinchilla Microfiber Buffing Cloth, microfiber detailing towel
Supreme 530 microfiber towel, buffing cloth, drying towel, detailing towel, 530 towel
Super Plush Junior Microfiber Towel, 16 x 16 inches

Re: AG microfiber for spray wax decision
Thank you for the feedback, I went ahead and ordered a 3 pack of the "Chinchilla. I also added a"Dry Me a River" towel. I'm hoping that will help me avoid having to stop to ring out my first drying towel, I'll just rotate in a 3rd.

Re: AG microfiber for spray wax decision
Has AG or MikeP ever done an article on when to use which type of microfiber, preferably w/ photos of the various weaves etc?

Re: AG microfiber for spray wax decision
Rather than starting another thread let me ask this, why does it seem like all the microfiber rags I've used on my glass leave small fibers all over it? I have to use cotton towels/rags to avoid it. I haven't tried very many different MF rags, Costco rags and my chemical guys waffle weave drying towel do it. I've seen people using all kinds of different MF rags on glass without complaints, even seen professional tinters using the same Costco rags solely to wipe the glass before tint.
