You shouldn't have to go as aggressive as a Compound. I've had no issues removing SiO2 staining in paint with just a light polish.
    Thanks Bobby,
I have a Porter Cable 7424XP, but am not very comfortable using it yet. I didn't want to risk being too aggressive with it, which is why I wanted to try all of this by hand first. Would you suggest Finishing Glaze with an orange pad?

Don't be afraid to use your PC. The only way to harm your paint with it would be to take the machine & smack the surface over and over again.

As for the right combo, start with your least aggressive product and pad, and step up from there.

But, I'll bet the least aggressive will yield the results you are after....

Good luck, and keep us posted.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
