VRP streaking/running, looking for alternatives
Spent the better part of Sunday compounding/polishing and waxing my 2004 F150 XLT. Was extremely impressed with the results, especially for my first time machine polishing. Used Chemical Guys VRP to dress all my trim, tires and interior. I like the looks, the smell and the ease of application of the VRP using a simple sponge applicator. The problem though was that it rained all day the following day and anywhere I had VRP on the exterior it ran and streaked my paint surface. Everywhere!! Was simple and easy enough to clean up with some ONR as a QD, but now I'm looking for something that I can use on my exterior trim that won't run/streak at all or at least not nearly as bad. Any recommendations?

McKee's 37 Trim Restorer or Wolfgang Exterior Trim Sealant. Both are pretty much the same and work great.

Never had any luck with VRP on exterior trim....relegated it to tires until I found something I like better. Either of the two products that BSoares suggested will work very well.

And all I use on tires now is Duragloss #253. With a flagged tip brush to apply it. Never streaked or slung off. And gives a perfect dressed look. It has "rain repel" in the formula, so it will last longer than you think.

Carpro dlux is a good option.

I had good results with VRP on the tires, but on bumpers and other trim pieces on the Wrangler it left some streaks or non-covered spots a day later. Whats a great alternative for restoring trim?

Re: VRP streaking/running, looking for alternatives
Ended up ordering some Solution Finish to try on the exterior trim. Gonna end up continuing to use the VRP on tires, since that has held up decently well on the tires.
