Let me clarify looking for place to get them one of the polishers I use will need a set and to buy from manufacturers it 30 when shipping is added which is crazy to me and I don’t trust the cheap Chinese one.
Also how long do u go before replacing on your machines *brushes* 1 year 2 years

Re: Carbon brush replacement guide
it'd be helpful to know what brand/model polisher you have.
?? why would you *replace* the machine every year (or 2 or 3 or ???) especially if you buy a decent one to begin with vs.
some piece of junk?

Re: Carbon brush replacement guide
Replace them when the polisher quits. Everything depends on the amount of use the polisher gets.

Re: Carbon brush replacement guide
Machine was bought used 21mm shurhold it a popular machine in boating community.Shurhold makes products for boat gel coat correction. The machine is most powerful 21mm I have used. to bog it down real effort and pressure is needed. Good build quality low heat at constant use at speed 4.5 I have used for year about 25 corrections or 1 steps maybe 120 hours on it but do not know history I am replacing brushes because I like the machine I treat it well. I replaced grease with mobile 1syn red, clean internals once every 1 month with duster can and slime

Re: Carbon brush replacement guide
For as easy to change, and as cheap as they are, I would replace the brushes in any power tool that has them at around 100 hours.
Just my opinion, but I have been using just about every power tool imaginable for 40 years now.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
