Resinous substance on the bumper, how do I remove it

I have resinous substance on the bumper. I noticed it recently but it seems to have caked/baked on the bumper in the summer heat. I tried to use quick detailer, rubbing alcohol, even tried to use nanoskin but it won't budge. I was tempted to use GooGone but wasn't too sure if it will harm the paint. I have not tried any APC (have Super Clean) for the same reason.

    Appreciate any ideas.

    Thanks in advance.

    Goo-Gone/APC won't harm your paint.

Is that dried tree sap? If so, you may need to use a soaking action with something like 3M General Purpose Adhesive Remover.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Whatever you use, be extremely careful as the paint on bumpers are very thin. They use a flexing agent in the paint on plastic bumpers which makes it soft and easy to strike through.

Looks like dried pine tar. Goo Gone will work fine. You may have to apply it several times. Check out the rest of your paint for small drops. CarPro Tar-X works good for me.

As mentioned that the Goo Gone and APC won't damage the paint as long as you are not letting it dry on the paint. Spray it on the mf towel and spread it out and hold against the spot with the tar remover of choice. If you spray directly on it I would cover the headlight and the seals around it. As on clear plastic the tar remover is more harsh. Finish with a wash of some kind to get the tar remover residue off.

    Thank you folks.

I used Goof Off and it came right off.
