Will tire cleaner / coating prep remove wheel coating

I would like to apply a tire coating. I have a wheel coating on my wheels and am concerned it will remove the coating if any of the prep cleaner drips on the wheels. Should I be concerned?

    I doubt it - if it's a quality coating.

I wouldn't be to concerned BUT I would still be careful.

What are you using for a tire cleaner and tire coating?

I had the same question and paranoia because of black wheels.

I used in one sitting Meguiars D143 at 1/1, Zep 505 at 1/1, 303 tire/rubber cleaner straight and the TW tire cleaner that came in the old Endura coating kit.

This was done on low profile tires with black wheels coated with UK3.0.
I sprayed lightly, close to the tire and immediately started to spread it around the 360 of the tire with my wheel brush. I continued with the scrubbing then pressure washed clean between each product.

I don't have any staining or reduced coating behavior.

The cleaner is Tuff Shine as is the coating. The wheel coating is 22ple VM1 applied in December.
