Woops! I meant Perfecting cream, not FCC!

    Re: Ceramic Coating Removal

Thanks for the replies. I think I'll try removing it first with my Pinnacle finishing polish. I should be able to tell if it removes the ceramic. If any doubt, will resort to Plan A - white pad and Meguiars 205. I've removed Sonax and Blackfire coatings and they came of EZ. CQuartz has just acted differently from the time I applied it. Not knocking CQuartz at all, but won't go back with it again.

    Thanks again to all.

Okay but can we remove the coating and do the polishing in the same step. Or do we need to do a section 2x to remove coating then polish?

Was the high spots from CQuartz UK? I don't think you will have much trouble with high spots when using the newer 3.0.

You should be able to correct and remove the coating in one step unless you have scratches that are deep, then you should Compound first.

    Re: Ceramic Coating Removal

I'd like to redo a panel I did in Cquartz 3.0 and Gliss to remove some light scuffs I put on the coating and then reapply both to the panel. Which Rules pad and polish would be ideal? Do I need to go to a green? Or would a yellow be better. I don't mind multiple steps either.

Also, the coating is only a month old, the car lives in the garage, and has only been driven a few times since the coating. I wipe it down with microfiber and ech20 every time I drive it. I am assuming I can jump right to the polishing and skip the decontamination steps, but don't mind doing that either if its still considered a best practice.

    Thanks

If you have the Rupes pads and polishes try the yellow pad with keramik. That should be all you need.
