I tried the Finishing Polish first but it didn’t cut very well with a white pad and I really didn’t want to use the LC orange so used One Step with white and it did the trick.

Has anyone used both liquid and paste Souveran together? My understanding is the paste Souveran is supposed to be the ultimate?

Just finished correcting and now moving to reapply Souveran...again!

    •It might be the ultimate...
-But I’ve never spent Souverän-kind of
    money on any LSP.

    •However...
-I did purchase their Sig. Series II Paste
Wax back when it was only $39.99.
-(On a similar note: I can handle Liquid
    Souverän‘s $39.99 price tag.)

    **********************************

•Even though, IMO, they’re both “Hybrids”...
-I’ve used Signature Series II Paste Wax
and Liquid Souverän Car Wax together.

    -The results were simply scintillating,
    in my POV.
-In fact: Good enough to where any
    inclinations to purchase the ~$100
    Souverän Paste Wax were immediately
    put to bed.

Yes, I've used both in numerous combinations (i.e. Soveran Paste alone, Soveran Paste with Soveran Liquid as a topper and Soveran Liquid alone). I applied both in multiple coats alone as they are incredibly easy to WOWO.

If by ultimate you mean is it superior then I'd say yes, however the margin is extremely thin.

Their is a small difference in that the paste lasts slightly longer than the liquid. In terms of gloss/shine the paste is again slightly, and I mean just slightly, better. Both are superb products and they have been my goto products for 'wax' for as long as they've been around. They both provide what I call more of a warm shine. As an aside the paste in particular smells good enough to eat, LOL.

Thanks for sharing that. It sounds like the paste isn’t all that much better to justify the significant difference in price. However, I’ve been using the paste only for years because I didn’t think the liquid was close enough. Now I’ll reconsider next time I’m low on the paste.

I agree, difference in price probably doesn't justify it on its own merit. I was able to catch the paste on an incredible 'Days of Christmas' years ago and redeemed a gift certificate as well. Was it cheap, nope but I never regretted the cost. I will mention that with this paste in particular a little goes a long, long ways. I probably still have 1/2 jar left and have likely done dozens of coats of it throughout the years.

Yep pretty much the same here. I don’t know when I’m going to be low on the paste because a little goes such a long way.

Ive never has Souveran paste last close to as long as Liquid Souveran. I’m talking weeks versus 4 months. Which is why I won’t top Paste with anything. To me paste is the ultimate topper and looks amazing on Liquid Souveran.

Also, Liquid Souveran has a brighter look that seems to bring out flake on light metallics. Paste mutes flakes and has a deep, classic carnauba look, based on my experience.

Different users, different experiences with these things.
