Yep. I made that mistake too.
Can't leave it on very long. Wipe it off panel by panel before it all dries up - no problem.

There are just so many better products out there now with effortless wipe off.

I'm not dumping on Meg's. They are smart to have their Ultimate products in every Walmart. Just good business.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Re: Polish & Claybar Budget Friendly Suggestions Please

    Hello Everyone!

Thanks for every ones input. It REALLY helped a lot to get this newbie off the ground. I did what someone else suggested and ended up getting Griots clay as it was cheaper than the mitt and everyone said the fine mitt wouldn't take care of the 10 year old car. It worked like a charm! I polished out most of my wife's car and it looks and feels like brand new paint!

And just for additional info, I was able to get the water spots off a test area (my hood) with a Griots Yellow Pad and the Finishing cream. So not sure if that means the Duragloss did it's job and the water spots were just trapped between the 2 layers as I had hoped or what but this combo knocked em out nice and smooth!

Thanks again everyone for the awesome suggestions and advice!

Good products that don't break the bank? Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, Polish, and Liquid Wax. All three are easy to apply, work, and remove (unless you use too much product, don;t over-saturate your pad with the Polish as it will become difficult to remove). I also have the GG 6" DA and use the 5" pads with it. Also, I use Griot's clay...I used to use Speed Shine, too, but found that I can foam a panel at a time and use the foam as the clay lubricant - works awesome. Just be sure to clean your pads often while working with the compound and polish.
