Not what you think: Anyone layer CanCoat on top of CQuartz UK?
Just to set expectations. I'm asking this question not because I'm into layering products, I'm just trying to find creative use to eliminate built up inventory.
Right now I have a can of CanCoat which has spread much farther than expected and is probably approaching the end of it's shelf life after two-ish years. I also have the remains of a 50ml CQuartz UK bottle which was supposed to be used on a single SUV, but I've managed to coat an SUV, a small hatchback and I STILL have quite a bit of product left over!
In order to use up stock before they go bad, I'm thinking of using the rest of the CQuartz on my car and then applying CanCoat as a topper to all of my vehicles. Anyone try this? Any problems? I know Gyeon uses CanCoat as a topper for their coatings, so I'm thinking it should work over most coatings.
Just trying to find a way to use up product before it goes bad and I have to toss it. I'd really hate to do that since both products are really good.

I think it will work. Might even help with the grabby feeling UK has on its own.

Should be fine. You could even use it on wheels if you want to just use up the coatings.

I would certainly hope you can top Cancoat on numerous ceramic coatings. I know it’s generally best to use synergy within the same brand, but it would be rather finicky if Cancoat was heavily, negatively impacted by not being able to coexist on other clean coating bases.

Used on top of Gtech CSL a while back; quite a nice addition both in looks and performance.
CSL by itself wasnt very visually entertaining in the rain; CanCoat took care of that and added a 'candy-ish' look to the more shiny and rich CSL.

Thanks everyone for the input. I'll probably give it a try.

I certianly will, it's just a matter of which product. I'll prioritize the vehicle paint and use what remains on the wheels. Just looking at what I've got right now it will most likely be the CanCoat.

The Guz also uses it in door jambs which I think is an excellent idea and what I do now. My door sills, especially on drivers side get scuffed/scratched often so it's just what the Doctor ordered; polish when it gets bad, CanCoat...good to go.

Great idea! I always just hit them with a WW, but there is no reason not to coat those areas to help them stay cleaner longer.

It works so good and seems to stay cleaner longer. Makes it easy to clean up after a wash.
