How to make a White BMW X3 Pop?

I'm about to start my next project, hitting the wife's newer White X3. My plan is to wash, decon, and clay this weekend and then buff/polish with Blackfire Ones Step next weekend, unless she or my daughter isn't going anywhere during the day this weekend.

I know there aren't special formulated products based on color but is there a specific product (wax, jewel, sealant, etc...) that will enhance the white finish? I currently have Sonax PNS on my black Acura and absolutely love it...but when black is polished it looks incredible!

    Thank you,
    Jay

So I've been reading up on the subject because I've got a white vehicle as well.

"Gloss comes from smoothness. Period. End of discussion."

"Gloss comes from reflection, and reflection comes from a flat surface. All those fine swirl marks are actually scratches with sharp edges. Those edge reflect the light and create a non uniform appearance to the finish. This is ultimately what detracts from the visual depth in a paint finish."

I'm not familiar with BF One-step, but the reviews here have been very positive. If you aren't getting the results you want with it, you might need to move to something with more bite. Or adding a high quality wax.

Not sure where you found the above quote, but here's my article on this topic from the time stamp in the first post,

Gloss starts first with a smooth surface...

And here's the picture I used to showcase this concept from an old 2-door Ford we buffed out down here and it certainly didn't start out this way.

For older neglected white paint I have found using an iron remover followed by claying and then machine polishing with anything that uses great abrasive technology will ensure the paint is completely clean and free from anything that would block your view through the clearcoat and to the basecoat under it. Works for any color of paint.

The end results will be the true color.

I like how PNS and BSD looks on white paints a lot. So I would go with what you have. And sure the polishing will do the most to get an awesome finish. Protection just gives you a slight difference in the apparence. And is mostly noticed when you use different kind of protection products on a vehical you own or maintain often. And get a bottle of BSD or just reapply the PNS when needed. They share the same chemicals that protection is in them.
