    Re: Newb needing some assistance

    Hey Jay,

Great talking to you on the phone. Here's that article I told you about how in 30 minutes or less I was 100% drenched in sweat doing my first South Florida detail job. Actually just the washing portion first thing in the morning.

Man was it hot and HUMID outside!

    Respect

And while we we're on the phone, your package arrived.

I'll get your product and a signed copy of my book out to you by end of day.

I'll add, for me Acura/Honda paint will micro mar easy. I can look at my wife's black pilot and it gets a new scratch. Green LC polish pad and Sonax Perfect Finish are my go to for Honda paint.

Jay, I'm in Houston too. If you're near the west side at all, we should meet up. I'm kind of new to this too (like 3 months in), and like you, have used some of the CG white pads, but haven't had any issues. It's still considered a polishing pad I think.

Mike...it was great/an honor speaking to you earlier today! I spoke to Andre and he got me taken care of, super dude! Ordered the Sonax PNS, six LC White Pads, and the brand new Scangrip Mini Match Light (definitely will not be telling "the one that must be obeyed" about that one, i'll say it was a free gift!). I really look forward to reading your book so i can find out the proper way to detail my car...without marring the paint this time!

Scott...I'm out in Katy, it would be great to have a "meet and greet" for the guys and girls on AG and too, kinda like a support group for the weekend warriors/newbs! I dont think it was the Pads that caused the marring, probably more of "user" and product, i did notice that if you didnt apply adequate pressure that product would start to squirt out all over the place since the pads arent flat!

    Good to hear.

Suggestion - place a strip of tape through the middle of a section of paint where you can easily see Mick-marring and then just buff on one side.

Allow the way to dry (wipes off easily when you let it fully dry) and then inspect the results.

When using an AIO - use like a Compound or polish. This means - use like 3 Nickel size drops of product. Don’t use pea sized drops of product, that’s ridiculous advice.

Make 6 to 8 section passes.

Let us know how it turns out.

    Holy Moly....BF1 is the BOMB!
This is from the test spot using BF1, LC White, approx 6 passes, HF DA, spreading product speed 1-2, buffing on speed 5.
