Who details their "detailer"?
Whenever I'm done with a job, I quickly spray my polisher with simple soapy water before putting it away. I cannot stand polish "sling" and colored gel coating over the machines. Just curious if anyone else does this, or wears layers of sling as war paint.

A damp towel with a light APC would be better than spraying water imo.

Patina is highly sought after so I just leave them alone.

Maybe on classic cars but junk on power tools, not so much where I'm concerned. I clean all my power tools after each use, regardless of the tool. To each their own.

I like to keep my stuff clean.
It can be difficult when there's a lot of work, but it only takes a few minutes to give the polisher a wipe down.

Wipe my flex down with 303 after a polishing job. Not all my other tools but I do have a pricey cordless impact I detail after a nasty car repair.

In a word, YES!
I've even gotten myself 'in trouble' using the dish washer to clean wrenches, sockets and the like. I do have to say, "Man was she p***ed!"

Clean my polisher with dashboard and vinyl cleaner after every use

Re: Who details their "detailer"?
I usually don't clean my machines after every use but do wipe them down about once a month.
I do like to take them apart about once a year and do some PM. They get cleaned real good when I do that, inside and out.
