Best method to remove compound from rock chips?

Working on a black car that has a ton of pin head sized rock chips on the front. Once compounded, the white compound really shows up on the black paint as it get into those pin holes. Looks like it has freckles. What is everyone's go to method to get the compound out of the chips?

    Thanks for any input.

Re: Best method to remove compound from rock chips?

I would say maybe an IPA solution and q-tips. Sounds tedious. Another thing that might work would be using an IPA or similar product and a thicker nap MF towel. The thicker nap would hopefully get into the chips and remove the compound residue. Issue with using a towel is you work risk marring the freshly polished paint when wiping.

When I used to have access to hot water in my dad’s shop it helped dissolve compounds as compared to cold water. You could also try using Dawn dish soap and a wash mitt. Fill your wash bucket inside with hot water.
