Mike: I see you have done this with Pinnacle Jeweling Wax (which correct me if I'm wrong does not indicate that it has any "natural" wax in the formula), but what about using PNS on top of HD Speed (which I believe contains Montan wax in the formula?) or Mckee's 37 Jeweling Wax which contains Carnauba?

Not trying to overthink it, just curious about using a sealant on top of a natural wax product...

Tony, can you explain what you mean here about Essence? Are you saying it doesn’t bead?

Sorry, I’m not Mike, but I think Pinnacle Jeweling wax does include carnauba wax, basically the same properties as Liquid Sovereign. PNS seems to not mind.

D166 definitely does not last 6 months. We're lucky to get 6 days in the summer in AZ out of any Carnauba-based product.

    Won't that scratch the paint?

D166 is a mix of polymer and carnauba. The durability comes from the polymers. I have not seen durability tests on this product so I can only say what the manufacturer claims.

Essence on the other hand I have seen durability tests and it failed very quickly, can't remember the numbers but I believe it was about 2 months (out the the 12 months CarPro claims).

McKee's 360 is supposed to have one of the best correction ability, but I don't know how durable the sealant in it is.
Even the Meguiar's reps have only stated that D166 lasts 30-90 days. It works good but it is not going to last anywhere close to 6 months.

Essence by itself is not hydrophobic. Essence Plus is.

Funny it mentions nothing about carnauba wax on the product page.

You suggest Sonax Net shield over Blackfire Pro SiO2 Spray Sealant after Blackfire all in one?
