Great looking update. Amazing how much more vibrant the grill crest looks. Love the C-pillar wreath and crests.

The plastic badges only last so long. Looks like yours got to the age where they needed replacement

Looks great! That Caddy should never leave you stranded on the road, out of appreciation for all the love you’ve given it.

    Thanks everyone!

All of the new emblems I put on are updated versions, meaning they’re not the exact originals to this model year. I kinda wanted it like that in order to add a bit of a custom look to the car without sticking out too much..

Front grill emblem is original to 05-07 STS

DTS badge is original to 06-11 DTS

Northstar badge is original to 04-05 DTS

The wreath & crest I put on the c pillars & trunk is a newer version found on various Cadillacs...

I also added a badge to the interior, on the outside of the glove compartment. [I put this on a few months ago]

    Before.

    After.

Re: My de badge/re badging is finally complete

Here’s a few pictures of the process...

This badge came off easy peasy. Warmed it up with a blow dryer, then swiped it off with some dental floss.

Rapid Remover & microfiber towel cleaned the leftover adhesive right up.

The front wreath & crest was absolute murder to remove! My de badge/re badging is finally complete

Both emblems had pins in them and the adhesive was so strong it felt like it was welded on. I sprayed Radid Remover, used the hair dryer, plastic spatula, and brute strength and it took a good while before I was able to get it off.

Finally got it off.My de badge/re badging is finally complete

If you look closely you can see where I messed up trying to use a screwdriver [thats how big of a PITA it was to remove this] and nicked the paint. I went back to the spatula. My de badge/re badging is finally complete

Same thing with the trunk emblem... This was even harder to remove. So hard that I almost began ripping the inside of my trunk apart in order to see if this thing was screwed on. Lol. I was putting so much elbow grease into trying to get this off that I thought there might be a chance I was going to remove a huge chunk of the paint!
I was shocked there wasn’t a screw holding this thing down.

When it came time to applying the 2 badges on each side of the trunk I realized that I was on my own as far as the placement.. I was short on time but I had already begun the process [meaning I had fully prepped the surface] and I almost completely winged it on the placement... Luckily I found my double sided tape and used a small strip of it in order to do a test run.

I adjusted my original placement of both emblems and once you remove the plastic from the back of the emblem there’s no turning back because once you lay it down there’s no taking it off and redoing it. A big part of this requires you to get it right on the 1st try without anything really guiding you...

Luckily I nailed it!My de badge/re badging is finally complete

Thank you!My de badge/re badging is finally complete

...I forgot 1 more emblem I added a while back. I added this huge emblem that’s usually on the grill of an Escalade...

In my trunk. My de badge/re badging is finally complete

I’m thinking about buying a couple of these crests..

And placing them on my floor matts. Right here:

Those emblems are solid metal and the adhesive is strong enough to hold them in place. What do you think? Yay or nay?

I’ve seen late model Mercedes Benz with badges similar to these stuck onto the floormatts and they look good.
