Dirty car waxed - please help

Before you jump at me, please know i did not wax my own dirty car. I know better. I was shopping and some tweakers had waxed my car and pulled out a dent. It looks horrible. How do I fix this mess?? I was thinking wash with dawn, which is not something I would ever normally do. I figured this was a question for professionals. Thank you

Wash it with whatever to get it clean first and then go to Autozone and get a bottle of Rustoleum Tar & Wax remover. This is essentially what panel prep is. Spray the car down one panel at a time with the panel prep and wipe it off really good with a clean, soft microfiber towel like an Eagle Edgeless or something similarly soft. After you get the entire car wiped down, you can go ahead and wax it properly.

Can you please elaborate on this statement?

Because all I can picture is a band of rouge gypsy's roaming through a mall parking lot with a can of Turtle Wax and a dent puller.........
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

Thank you, PaulMys. I had the same question but didn’t know how to ask.
