Applying tuff shine on textured tires

Now that the temperature is finally above freezing, I was trying to apply some tuff shine that I purchase fron Autogeek a month or two back. I ran into a problem with the product, the tire is heavily ribbed, which resulted in a lot of product getting into the crevices. It seems ok then when it dries, but how do you suggest applying this? A sponge to apply it followed by toothbrush?

I use it with their orange foam applicator. Pressing the applicator down into those grooves will push product into them.

A brush works as well. As an example the carand brush does a good job.

If you have a metrovac sidekick then that also does a good job along with speeding up the curing process for another coat.

that's why I use spray dressing. I'll spray a dressing on and wipe it with an old towel. that'll take some of the shine out & give it a mat finish. using those gels on ribs tires is way to much work. I've used a brush and compressed air to help get it in the grooves. plus you'll find yourself using way more product to help get better coverage.

Get a stain paint brush and a Metro-Vac Sidekick. This is how I do customer cars and teach in all my classes.

By speed-drying you can apply 5-6 coats as fast as possible and then move onto the next tire.
