Those fresheners are the bomb and squash is probably best scent you can put in a car.
Note: smells nothing like squash and more like awesomeness.

I’d try those bamboo charcoal bags eldorado mentioned or the open boxes of baking soda. Maybe sprinkle in some carpet fresh and vacuum out. Problem is the foam in the rest of the vehicle.

I have a great way of getting rid of the "new car smell", since your wife doesn't like the smell and I love the new car smell we can just trade vehicles. Just a suggestion Figured since no one else suggested it I would.
