It protects the coating during the cure period which is about a week for most coatings. Removes the stress of not exposing the car to water.

Where are we getting these droppers? I think I ruined my spray pump by not cleaning it out after I put the coating on my rims.

I have a bottle from when it first came out. Just the other day I went to use it for the first time and it was all goopy and gelled up. I did a search and realized I waited too long. My advice is to coat as many cars as you can, quickly.

Yeah, I’d say if you can’t use it within 3 months you’ll waste the rest of the bottle. It cures very fast in the bottle after opened.

Use 2 towels to make sure you get everything removed and no high spots. Nick does not recommend 2 coats so one is all you need.

If you want to accelerate curing, you can apply 10-minute paint sealant over it, otherwise just let it cure until next day. The gloss it adds when freshly applied is very noticeable.
Hey... Its not that I doubt you on this but is there anything with Nick saying this? How do you apply it? Did you do it, if so whats your process? How long after application? I just finished the truck, applying the coating that is, so Im curious as to when I should use the 10min sealant.

I just use pipettes for all coatings, much easier, cheap throwaways

It doesn't have a dripper on the bottle?

I didn’t do it myself. He’s said it before here and the McKee’s 37 group on FB. People say it’s fine to do it immediately after the coating but personally I’d wait about 2 hours.
Since my bottle of McKee’s gelled up before i got a chance to do a second car, I’ve gone with different coatings that are basically a single application per bottle/kit. Can’t beat the price of McKee’s though.

Most coatings do but I've come to prefer these...

Thanks. I'd assume that if you can top it pretty much immediately , then the coating has cured pretty much 100% right? When I was applying it it still baffles my mind that it's pretty much a wipe on wipe off and it still forms a layer...
