Re: Not getting a sharp reflection on the car

IMO all that matters is whether the vehicles were silver or not...

My Infiniti is not as sharp. Good but not great. Wife's Lincoln is pretty awesome though. I think Ford does a good job with their tinted clear coats.
I agree BMW paint isn't the greatest with orange peel and then throw in the clear is generally on the hard side and it gets frustrating. The op was stating a difference in the vertical to horizontal clarity and I haven't seen this on factory paint that's why I asked him if it was repainted and to take the same pic of the horizontal panels instead of the glass.

I also agree with you on the Ford paint especially Ruby Red,the last few I've done it really seams like they have the process dialed in! I just did a Cajun Red Silverado RST and it looked great from 10' away but while polishing I noticed dust nibs, see through paint on inside edge of tailgate, uneven paint on the firewall and 7 spots on the door jambs where they sanded nibs but never polished it out.

I used the orange pad with meguiar's Ultimate compound, and then all the scratches disappeared. I followed with the white pad and some polishing to have a better finish.

I don't have any swirls or scratches anymore, however the reflection is not super sharp, it's very slightly blurry or hazy.
Could just be because it's grey paint. Not the most reflective like black paint.

This looks normal as well as shiny and clear to me...

Yea his paint in that picture doesn’t look anywhere near as bad as what I’ve seen on the horizontal panels of some silver vehicles.

Silver and lighter/medium grays are very hard to get to reflect like darker colors.

This is the best I have ever done.
