Question please advise on removing sealant / wax

hello fellow detailing enthusiasts! please help me with some advice. i currently have the following on my car:

    chemical guys black light
    chemical guys hybrid v7
    natty's blue wax

the reason why i have natty's blue over the chemical guys stuff is because i wasn't happy with the look of the chemical guys combo and wanted to see if a carnauba would help. i'm still not happy with topping off with natty's blue so now i want to just go back to basics.

i want to strip everything off and just go with klasse aio topped with a carnauba, pinnacle souveran.

what's the best approach in stripping off the chemical guys sealant and natty's blue?

i was thinking of doing a chemical decon (iron remover) as i haven't done this on my car yet. then i plan to use carpro eraser afterward before the klasse aio.

what do you guys think? thanks in advance for the help!

Isopropyl alcohol 70 or 90%. Also dish detergent on the lower portion of the vehicle to if the detergent is working. Meguiars M105 will work as well.

I’d say claybar or a paint cleaner like McKee’s Coating Prep Polish is the only true way to remove a recently applied lsp in 1 shot. Those ipa sprays may be good for removing polishing oils, but I wouldn’t count on them when it comes to removing a solid layer of protection.

    Just my 2 cents.

car is a bit of a garage queen. only gets driven on the weekend occasionally (never in rain). racked up about 700 miles for the past 7 months.

In that case, just wash it with car shampoo and wipe it down with Eraser. You’ll do the iron remover before the wash but that’s not really expected to do much of the lsp removing but that’s ok.

The AIO you’re planning on using should very well remove all of what you’ve currently got on the paint. You’ve got it easy.

    -Chemical decon

    -Rinse

    -Car wash shampoo bucket wash.

    -Dry

    -Eraser Wipedown

    -Klasse AIO

    -Pinnacle Souveren

thank you for the reply. do you think the iron remover is really necessary? will using it provide more depth, shine, wetness, etc.? thanks again.

Yea it’s worth doing, especially if you’ve never done it before.
Noticeable results are a cleaner looking finish, especially on white vehicles. Leaves the paint looking and feeling almost squeaky clean.

Spray it on. If it turns red/purple within 5min. then you know it’s done its job of removing any iron particles off the paint.

If it doesn’t change colors within 5min. then there wasn’t any iron particles in your paint, but at least you know you’re good.

Rinse off thoroughly with the hose and proceed to washing the vehicle.

As Eldorado2K mentioned see if an iron remover reacts. Mostly behind the panels of the wheels and back of the car is where iron particals building most. And if you have a lot of fallout in your environment also on the horisontall panels. Test it around on some panels and if reaction accurs do the whole car for the peace of mind and also to get out of your paint as it's not so good in the longrun to have it in your paint.

One strip wash that seems to be effective is Poorboy's Strip Down Wax Stripper. That could be an option to try out. But the Klasse AIO cleaning and polishing should get rid of any LSP products that is on their last longevity.
