New pressure washer time. Input/thoughts ?

    Hello all!

PW died in 2009 and wasn’t replaced because..... got divorced, moved on, life happened, etc. started caring about cars again and,was going to upgrade the polisher, BUT as recommended here I am using smaller pads. My machine is just fine now. This means money can now be spent on a good PW.

Ive always owned consumer $200 or less machines. The ones that have crappy hoses and last a year or two.

I want something better and will spend money propery this time. Buy once cry once.

    In considration are:

    sunjoe spx 3000
    ar 383 ss
    ar 630 tss
    kranzle 1122 tss
    kranzle 1322 tss
    something I’m not,aware of??

I want electric, auto on/off is a must, and I’ll be using for car washing only (ok, furnace filters and other, household stuff). If I need lots of power I’ll rent a gas.

Points of interest...... PW will be used half the year (I’m Canadian, and we freeze), and I have a 240/40 amp receptical. I’ll consider 240 if there’s some benefit or cost saving.

When I owned the cheap pw’s they didn’t have auto on/off. Maybe this is why they die young?

i know the sun joe is overrated spec wise. Not sure about the ar consumer models.

Slightly leaning towards the kranzles, or the AR 630 tss. It has good specs, and I actually believe them.

Im also interested in the pressure pro eagle series with auto on off.

Thoughts? Do I give the consumer stuff another shot, this time with auto on off? Or do I spend more?

id also like to point out I have all the upgraded guns, nozzles, and lance, etc.

    thanks

Hi I know how that divorce thing works...
I do a lot of Maintenance details and I use a Greenworks electric 1500 psi. I've used it for about six months it has been very dependable...

I had a Ryobi that lasted about 2 years. I did countless cars and even a couple of sidewalks with it before it gave out. Consider looking at Obsessed Garage on YouTube. Matt absorbs himself into a finding the BEST solution to any pRoblem he has. He just recently did a run up of about 5 different pressure washing companies for those looking for the best bang for their buck.

Since you added Kranzle to your list I assume you have the budget for it. Definitely a better machine than others. If the cheap brands I’d use greenworks or ryobi. Sunjoe sucks as they use proprietary fittings and non standard connection size for the hose. The standard hose sucks on all of them.
Check out Obsessed Garage Youtube channel for a nice comparison of all these power washers.

I own the AR 630TSS Hot and am VERY happy with it! I picked up a 50' hose, quick disconnects, a different spray head and stainless steel swivel and the setup works fantastic! I have no problems running it on a 15A GFCI, but I think AR recommends a 20A.

Ya, do check the Obsessed Garage channel, he tested every pressure washer on the market for all the major brands (Ryobi, Greenworks, AR, Karcher, Kranzle)

The one thing I can tell you, no matter what you buy, make sure you get a long and flexible high pressure hose. 50 feet or more is best. A good short gun also makes using them much better.

I’ve already got the mtm gun, and lance, with quick connects. 50 foot hose, check! I also have lots of fittings. I can hook up to m22, both 14mm and 15 mm. I’m ready for any machine I think, lol.

Been to obsessed garage already. It’s how kranzle got on my radar. I’ve watched all the PW videos. I’m Leary of sunjoe due to false ratings of their product.

Bsoares, do you own a kranzle?

B5visser, the 360tss is 18 amps, requiring a 20 circuit. I’m surprised your up and running. Have you used a foam cannon at all with the AR? Is your 15 a dedicated circuit?

Can anyone chime in on a 240 PW? I already have a dedicated 240 circuit. Kranzle and AR recommend dedicated circuits as well.

He. I last owned a PW they ran non stop once turned on. Are today’s Home Depot PW’s better than yesteryears?

Yeah I have a ryobi from HD and it’s 4.5 stars on their site with 841 reviews. It’s instant on/off. Uses a brushless motor. 2300 psi. It’s low gsm but great for car washing.

Look into Northstar electric pressure washers. We started using them and haven’t looked back. Also the AR B5visser is a solid unit as well.

I've been happy with my SunJoe.... But the electrics you mentioned are all good companies with no issues on PW itself. Kranazle will be better quality - but pricey....

As noted - You should also be thinking about upgraded hose/gun/quick connects to make it much more useful. And of course make sure you have the right circuit setup as well as proper sized extension cords as needed.

I have found MTM has an excellent selection and great customer service to help figure out what's needed if you have questions on hoses/guns/connections - they even have full kits to make it easy now.
