    Blackfire pro ceramic coating

Is it recommended to apply multiple coats if wanted, and also is the Carpro ECH20 the best detailing spray for ceramic coated vehicle.

    Thanks

Ech2o is certainly one you could use for sure, will clean well and adds the correct type of gloss you want with a coated car. Ech2o makes an awesome QD, RW and WW! Best product on the market of it's kind Blackfire pro ceramic coatingBlackfire pro ceramic coatingBlackfire pro ceramic coating

    Welcome to the forum.

One coat is more than likely sufficient. You would have no issues applying another coat if you wanted to do so.

    From the product page

    • Shake this product well before use.

    • Wrap a suede towel around a foam applicator block and apply a straight line of product onto the towel.

    • Working in a 3’ x 3’section, apply the product to the paint in straight lines with a 50% overlap between strokes. Allow BLACKFIRE Pro Ceramic Coating to flash then gently buff the surface with a soft, dry microfiber towel. Switch to a clean side of the towel frequently to avoid streaking.

    • If you would like to apply a second coat, you may do so immediately after the first. Allow this product to cure for 12 hours before exposure to moisture. Avoid washing your vehicle for 72 hours after application.

In before the Bead Maker hype train chimes in haha. Sorry could not resist. It seems to be the flavor of the month product at the moment.

Ech20 works well as a detail. CarPro just released Elixir if you want to try that. It will work with any coating and will leave a little protection behind.

I recently reviewed Elixir with more information on the product.

ECH2O is not really meant as a QD. It does have a tiny bit of SiO2 in it but it is better suited as a waterless/rinseless wash as it leaves little protection behind. To use as a QD mix 2 ounces ECH2O with 2 ounces Reload type spray, and 32 ounces distilled water. Spray, wipe to spread, and wipe with clean microfiber towel. There may be some hazing requiring a second wipe.

As others have said CarPro EliXir is a good ready to use product for a QD.

Yeah, Ech2o is pretty thick and actually overkill as a QD, heck, you could use leftover RW Ech2o as a QD honestly.

I think you guys have it backwards.. It’s meant to be used as a QD or Waterless Wash and not meant to be used a Rinseless, which is why you don’t see any mention or directions on the label or product description in regards to Rinseless Wash.

I use it @10:1 as a waterless. Works good.

What are the manufacturers directions for rinseless? I don’t see any?

Listen, I know it doesn't say anything about RW but IIRC someone contacted them about it and said it was ok to use it that way. That said, this makes a superior RW and I've been using it this way for a long time without issues.

I'm sure when the Fender Rhodes electric keyboard came out it had directions too, then someone like Miles Davis got a hold of it, gave it to Herbie Hancock and Joe Zawinal and used it the way THEY saw fit....wait, how many people did I lose here, LOLBlackfire pro ceramic coating

    Re: Blackfire pro ceramic coating

So if Ech2o by itself is “overkill” as a QD/WW, and Elixir is basically Ech2o + Reload, does that mean you’d consider Elixir overkill as a QD/WW too? Would you use Elixir as a Rinseless?
