Cheap MF's on clearance at AutoZone
$18 for a bag of 200 12x12's, at that price I can use them for oil changes & blowing my nose. Marked down from $50+
40 each of yellow, orange, green, blue & red. Actually went there for some CSS.
Right next to them on the shelf was a 100ct pack of identical ones from the same company for $34.99...

These are THIN, gonna be my go-to shop rags
Not sure if they would survive a trip through the washer/drier.

Trashed two of them cleaning the Camaro wheels this morning with some Megs QD, used one as a napkin while eating some messy food last night.

Those towels are only good for wheels, door jambs, grubby interiors, vinyl trim, engine bays, leather seats and tail pipes. They should never touch paint.
I believe in treating everybody with respect, and clean cars. That’s what I believe in.

If they weren't heavily discounted I wouldn't have considered buying them

So my neighbor only uses the cheapest MF he can find with maroon bottle Meguiars QD whenever he get’s home from a drive.
When we last polished out his car the Detail snob couldn’t believe he would touch his paint with those…. Truth be told his paint was in good shape and I think what swirls were there were from just using cheap Meg’s QD on dirty/dusty paint.
since he’s jumped to Ech20 so i think it will be in better shape.
I sometimes think the cheap MF will scratch your paint could be over hyped? When i next coat my car I am only going to use Costco MF on one fender.
Unfortunately with white it will be hard to document….

I would just always do the CD test on MFs;even brand new boutique ones. I’d rather swirl a CD than my paint.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.
