    Tire/rubber cleaner that won’t stain matte/satin wheels

Got 2 tone Matt face satin lip two tone wheels. Looking for something to clean the tires that won’t stain the matte face of the wheel. From I read from auto geek discripition 303 says safe for all wheels. Not sure so would like some recommendations and reviews if possible.

    Thanks in advance

I always found the pH-neutral wheel cleaners like P21S and the Griot's regular wheel cleaner to be pretty good tire cleaners. These should be pretty mild on the wheels. As always, don't let cleaners dry on the wheel.

Couple tips for cleaning tires that are mounted on aftermarket wheels.

    1. Contact the manufacturer to see what types of chemicals they approve or disapprove. They (should) know their product better than anyone else.
    2. Wet the WHEEL before spraying your tire cleaner of choice directly onto the tire. This will help dilute any tire cleaner that runs off the tire and onto the wheel.
    3. Following up on tip #2, do not allow the cleaner to dwell on the tire. Scrub immediately and thoroughly rinse off.
    4. Instead of spraying the tire cleaner directly onto the tire, spray it onto a microfiber towel instead. Use the towel as your tire "brush."
    5. Never clean wheels that are warm or hot to the touch.
    6. Never allow a cleaner to dry on any type of wheel.

Make sure you apply some type of protective wax, sealant, or coating on the wheel. This is cheap insurance for keeping your (expensive) aftermarket wheels protected.
