    Re: "Pop" on silver paint

Polish Angel Master Sealant + Rapidwaxx did well on this otherwise dull paint.

Someone around this forum has some pics of a white SUV done in a Polish Angel product and it's just fantastic, luscious. Not silver but if it does that to white...

Yep. I applied 360 and then HiDef.

Ceramic coatings work well to achieve this.

If you go with a sealant, FK1000P is very nice on silver. Acrylic spray waxes like Ultimate Acrylic Spray Wax also work very well in making silver paint pop.
Ooh I have some Ultima Acrylic in the closet. Will try it.

Sounds like I should try a dedicated polish instead of the 360.

When did you polish last? I mean where they are no swirls. Do a 50/50 with something like Megs 205 and see the difference.

That "color" will never "pop" like other colors or black do in full sunlight or when lit directly by strong lights, because the silver base color reflects too much light anyway, and because it "bleaches out" the reflections - so there will be less difference between the reflection and gloss caused by the perfect clear coat and that of the base coat. Moderate and dominantly ambient lighting will however work wonders, as it will allow surface reflections not get repressed by light reflected by the base coat. Of course that's only useful advice for photographing the results, not so much for everyday life where you obviously can't choose what amount of light will hit the paint/car.

I am surprised nobody has mentioned bead maker yet, seeing that is the new craze lol

Back on topic silver is not going to have that wow factor like a dark color. Needs the right light.

    Heres my dads 05 Camry

Cut with Griots Fast Cutting Compound on a blue SDO(or HDO whichever is for the FLEX3401) cutting pad then Polished with HD one on an orange pad from the same line and sealed with Optimum Optiseal.

Type-o in my first post. It's a 2018. It hasn't been touched when I got it. Still had plastic on it. So I just did 360 and it was perfect. No swirls. Just haven't been able to get that glassy shine to it.
