I have McKees37 360 and Black Fire one step. Is it ok to use this if the temp is in the high 30 or low 40 range? I will be doing the work in my garage. I am working on getting a bigger heater but that will take some time.
I emailed McKee's about 3 weeks ago asking the same question. I was using Mckee's 360 as well as the Hi Def Sealant. They recommended a temperature closer to 50....I think temps in the high 30's might be pushing it.
What effect do the lower temperatures have on AIO type products and dedicated waxes/sealants?
I’m curious on this too, whether there’s a more in depth answer that it doesn’t bond as well and durability is sacrificed.
From my experience, applying in my garage at ~40 degrees yielded decent results, and I use too many toppers to make any durability claims on the LSPs applied, but I would guess BF BlackIce was still going strong at 4 months and PBL Sealant made it to 6 months.
I'm thinking that once it's on there, it's on there.
My only trepidation with applying these products in below ideal temps would be the ability to apply thin coats (as in the Collinite line) and the removal might be way more challenging.
